How To Prepare & Send Files For Mixing & Mastering
Please follow the instructions below carefully:
Export Settings
In your DAW export all audio files (stems) for your song using the following settings:
WAV format (24-bit preferred, 16 or 32 bit also accepted)
Original session sample rate (44.1kHz or 48kHz)
All files start from the same point (Bar 1)
Peak level around -3db to-6db (no clipping/red levels)
This gives us the cleanest and most flexible files to work with.
2. Remove Mixing Processing
Before exporting please bypass/remove all mixing effects including:
EQ
Compression
Limiting
Reverb/Delay
Master Bus processing
Do not send stems with heavy limiting on the master channel.
3. Creative Effects
Creative effects can stay on if they are intended for part of your sound. Examples:
Vocal Tuning (Auto-Tune, Melodyne etc.)
Creative delays or reverbs
Distortion used stylistically
Sidechain Compression
If you’re unsure, feel free to leave a note when uploading.
4. Label Your Files Clearly
Clearly label all files so they’re easy to identify. Examples:
Lead Vocal.wav
Adlibs.wav
Backing Vocals.wav
Kick.wav
808.wav
Snare.wav
Avoid file names like: “Audio_01.wav” or “FinalVocalNew2.wav”
Clear labelling speeds up the process and avoids mistakes.
5. Organise & Upload
Place all audio files (stems) into one folder
Compressor folder into a single ZIP file
Upload using the secure Dropbox link provided after checkout
If sending multiple songs, please upload each song as its own ZIP folder.
For Mastering Only
If you’ve purchased Mastering (not Mixing), please send:
Final stereo WAV file (24-bit preferred)
Leave -3db to -6db headroom
No clipping
Remove heavy limiting from the master channel
File name example: ArtistName - SongTitle.wav
